Professional Development
Workshops & Events

Bridging the gap between classroom and career
Our professional development workshops and events are designed to prepare students for real-world success. Through resume reviews, interview prep, industry panels, and hands-on sessions led by professionals, members gain the tools, confidence, and insights needed to navigate their career paths with purpose. These experiences not only build practical skills but also foster lasting connections with mentors, alumni, and corporate partners — helping students explore opportunities, grow their network, and take meaningful steps toward their future careers.
Industry Partnerships & Networking Opportunities

Partnerships That Open Doors
Our strong relationships with industry partners give students direct access to meaningful networking opportunities, company events, and professional insights. Through collaborations with leading firms and alumni in top roles, members can connect with professionals across various fields, gain exposure to different career paths, and build relationships that open doors to internships, mentorship, and future employment.
Mentorship Programs

Mentorship That Meets You Where You Are
Our mentorship programs are built with care — by students, for students — to ensure that every member receives the support, guidance, and encouragement they need to thrive. Our first mentorship program, designed for freshmen and sophomores, offers foundational career guidance, academic support, and personal development — all through meaningful, student-to-student connections. Participants are thoughtfully matched with ALPFA CCNY executive board mentors based on their goals, interests, and personality, and also have the opportunity to take part in our shadowing initiative. This unique experience allows students to explore what leadership looks like from the inside and envision a future on the e-board if they’re interested in getting more involved. Our second mentorship program, created for upperclassmen, is powered through our partnership with the Global Mentorship Initiative (GMI). Juniors and seniors are carefully paired with industry professionals from leading companies like Microsoft, LinkedIn, Cisco, KPMG, and more — mentors who not only understand the corporate landscape, but also align with students' aspirations, fields of interest, and career journeys. At every level, our mentorship programs are designed to be personal, impactful, and empowering — because no one should navigate their future alone.
